General Atomics AeroTec Systems (GA-ATS) is the OEM manufacturer of the Dornier 228 aircraft which is produced in the factory in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich in Germany.
Flight Simulator
The Belgium simulator manufacturer Euramec as prime contractor designed and delivered the overall flight simulation training device (FSTD).
Flight Ahead provided its Universal Avionics simulation solution that simulates the aircraft avionics.
1. Dornier Do228 Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) located on Oberpfaffenhofen (ICAO EDMO) near Munich.
In June 2023 the Do228 simulator got certified as Flight and Navigation Procedure Trainer level II (FNPT II) by the German Luftfahrt Bundesamt (LBA).
2. The Do228 FSTD is used for pilot training, includingVFR and IFR training. It incorporates advanced simulation of systems such as TCAS, TAWS and Weather Radar supplied by Flight Ahead.
